==Anatomy==
===First Form===
The Akami in its most basic form resembles a round little fish with red skin, no visible eyes, tiny pink lips, two small fins and several white tentacles coming from behind it. This along with the sweet sounding bird-like chirps it makes gives it a very innocent appearance. However when ready to feed, the Akami will open its mouth wide to reveal its sharp fangs and extend its tentacles while letting out a fearsome roar. The more it feeds on food and the life force of others the larger and more intimidating its body becomes until it turns into monstrous and gigantic being.

===Second Form===
In its second form, it still possesses a round body shape but has grown far larger in size, exceeding the height and width of two [[Humans]] and a [[w:c:dragonball:Namekian|Namekian]]. It also gains a more blob-like form and its tentacles become longer and thicker while its teeth also become larger and sharper.

===Third Form===
Its third form, which is referred to as {{Nihongo|'''Medium Tuna'''|中トロー}}, is far larger than its second form and is around the size of the [[w:c:onepiece:Franky Shogun|Franky Shogun]]. In this form it has a more fish-like body but its fins have grown to resemble wings and its teeth and tentacles have also become larger and thicker than before. The skin color around its mouth also gains a flame-like pattern.

Its fourth form, which is referred to as {{Nihongo|'''Big Tuna'''|ビッグトロー}}, is even larger than its third form and its skin has become a purple color and its tentacles even bigger and thicker, however it regains its original rounder body shape and its wings remain the same size as in its third form, making them seem small again.

In its fifth and final form, which is referred to as {{Nihongo|'''Super Big Tuna'''|スーパービッグトロー}}, the Akami gains a more serpentine-like body with darker purple skin, more toned muscles, sharp teeth and fangs, and its tentacles have grown incredibly large and now posses mouths and fangs of their own, making it appear as though the Akami has multiple heads.

==Behavior==
The Akami at first glance appears to be a passive and cutesy creature, but in actuality it is a voracious and ferocious being that will absorb the energies of everything around it until it is at full strength, by which point it will show its true ferocity and bare its fangs as it becomes ready to feed on everything around it, truly making its title of "Deep Sea Glutton" fitting. It lives deep beneath the seas around the island where the [[World's Best Eating Tournament]] was held.

==Powers and Abilities==
The Akami has the unique ability of absorbing the life energies out of living creatures using its tentacles and it can siphon out these energies in only a matter of seconds. The more energy it absorbs the larger and more powerful it becomes and its overall body shape also changes to monstrous proportions and it gains incredible strength and power, especially if its victims were strong themselves. This truly makes the Akami a fearsome and powerful creature of likely unmeasurable power.

The tentacles it uses to siphon out energy are quite strong and flexible, and they contain a special and highly potent venom which it transfers into its victims to ensure they do not fight back. This venom can be potentially fatal after 30 minutes if not treated with an antidote made from the Akami's meat. Even in its most basic form, the Akami's tentacles are strong and fast enough to constrict a teenage [[w:c:dragonball:Saiyan|Saiyan]] and poison one with its venom as well. Even [[Coco]], a [[Gourmet Cell]] user with an incredibly enhanced immune system was unable to resist the paralyzing effects of its venom, although it is unknown if his body was able to produce an antibody of its own while he was unconscious.

The Akami is quite fast and agile in its first, fourth and fifth forms; capable of dodging hits from fast fighters and moving at super speeds in the blink of an eye. It also has superb defense especially after absorbing energy from two Humans and a Saiyan, as it was able to endure and brush off powerful attacks from powerful fighters such as [[w:c:dragonball:Piccolo|Piccolo]], [[Sunny]] and [[w:c:onepiece:Sanji|Sanji]] and was easily able to subdue them in combat with its strong siphoning tentacles. The meat of the Akami is a truly rich and legendary ingredient with a top-tier taste. The meat is rich with sweet-tasting fat and it instantly melts in one's mouth as it is chewed. Its meat can be roasted over an open fire, eaten on skewers, barbecued over a grill or be eaten raw and made into a fine tuna carpaccio. The flavor of the tuna carpaccio can be greatly enhanced by adding to it a special sauce made from the bones of the [[Carat Sizzled Cattle]]. In order to lure Akami, the [[IGO|International Gourmet Organization]] organized a World's Best Eating Tournament (''Tenkaichi Shokuōkai''), a merciless race with no rules, on a certain island. This shocking truth was revealed by the IGO Director [[Mansam]] after [[w:c:dragonball:Mr. Satan|Mr. Satan]] won the competition. While the champion serves up the championship prize, the luxuriously rare Carat Sizzled Cattle, to [[w:c:onepiece:Monkey D. Luffy|Luffy]], [[Toriko]], [[w:c:dragonball:Goku|Goku]], and their friends, the Deep Sea Glutton senses Luffy and the others power. Akami appears from out of the depths of the sea. Goku, Luffy, Toriko may have to combine their powers in order to defeat this deadly monster.
