The Bacchus Shark (バッカスシャーク Bakkasushāku) is a large breed of shark well known for its high alcohol content that hails from Bacchus Island. It is the Fish Dish in Mansam's Full Course Menu.[1]

Anatomy[]

It is a large shark beast with black skin and a dark beige underbelly. The tips of its tailfin have a very peculiar shape which point inwards rather than outwards.

Behavior[]

Its natural behavior is unknown, but considering that it hails from the liquor paradise, this creature is likely drunk at all times, much like the Drunk Shark.

Powers and Abilities[]

Not much is known about this particular beast's power, but based on its Capture Level of 31, it can be considered quite dangerous or at least difficult to acquire.

As Food[]

The meat of the Bacchus Shark is an alcoholic delicacy with a high alcohol content that is sure to make anyone drunk in a matter of moments.

History[]

Regal Mammoth Arc[]

It is first seen in the large banquet Mansam had prepared for Toriko and his friends which consisted of many alcoholic ingredients, including those from his Full Course Menu.[2][3]

Trivia[]

  • The name is probably derived from Bacchus, the Roman name for the Greek god of the grape harvest, winemaking, and wine.
  • There are several other established beasts with 'Bacchus' included in their own names. The Bacchus Dragon, Bacchus Onion, and the Bacchus Whale are notable examples, with the latter producing Bacchus Whale Sea Water. Including the location Bacchus Island, which is referred to as a "sake paradise" by the characters in the series and it is the home of many of the alcoholic beasts and ingredients mentioned above.
