Blemmyes are a race of headless humanoid beings whose faces are located on their torso. The Blemmyes are one of the many natives of Hex Food World, a civilization of monsters located in Area 8.

Appearance[]

Blemmyes have a human-like bipedal body shape, but have no head and instead their faces are on their torso with the eyes positioned on the chest, the nose located between the chest and stomach, and the mouth positioned on the stomach. They can have light or dark-colored skin tones and some can have neck-like growths where the head would be on a human. Blemmyes wear very little clothing, with the only ones seen so far only wearing loin cloths.

Behavior and Culture[]

Like the rest of the villagers, Blemmyes highly respect and revere Heracles and shared the dream of one day eating AIR alongside their fellow villagers. Blemmyes have been shown eating meat and AIR, indicating that they are omnivorous.

History[]

Origin[]

Like the rest of the races within Hex Food World, the Blemmyes are actually the descendants of ancient humans who were mutated by the Nitro many centuries ago after being injected with Gourmet Cells. These ancient humans would later establish a society in Area 8 and their descendants would become the many diverse races of Hex Food World.

AIR Arc[]

When the Four Heavenly Kings, Komatsu and Mappy arrived at Hex Food World, they were welcomed by many kinds of creatures and monsters. Blemmyes were one of the many villagers seen walking in town.

Later when the Kings and the Hex Food Beast Knights captured AIR, the villagers of Hex Food World, including the Blemmyes, came to their location so they could eat and enjoy AIR with them.

Trivia[]

  • They are based on the "Blemmyes", a Nubian tribe that was said to have no head and a face on their body. Its appearance may also be based on a common Japanese gag used at parties where people draw a face on their belly and make it move while covering their heads.
