Bullet Acorns (弾丸ドングリ Dangan Donguri) are one of the many ingredients used in the game of Food Concentration. It's a rare high class ingredient that has a high capture level to match. Bullet Acorns are almost impossible for a normal human to capture. True to their name, at the slightest disturbance, the acorns' shells turn iron-hard and they fire themselves towards nearby creatures at bullet-fast speeds. The acorns also must be caught on the fly, before they hit the ground; otherwise they will immediately grow poisonous sprouts, leaving them inedible. When presented with a jostled Bullet Acorn tree, Toriko easily captured all of the acorns with one hand. They were then stewed by Komatsu and eaten by Toriko, who states that although they are called bullets they have a soft and tender taste. It is unknown why this is, though it could be that Komatsu's stewing them softened them and improved their flavor. It's Gourmet Tasting Card is worth 70 points.
