The Chickong (ヒヨコング Hiyokongu) is a species of mammal-bird beast with the body of a gorilla and the head of a chick.

Anatomy[]

The Chickong is a hulking and tall ape with very large and muscular body covered in feathery fur and bulging veins. The Chickong's arms are incredibly buff while its legs are thinner and more bird-like. Its head, from which it gets its name, resembles that of a young chick, having a small beak, small black eyes, and two pointy monkey-like years.

Behavior[]

The Chickong is shown to be an aggressive and mighty fighter, but despite its fearsome appearance and combat abilities, it actually has a rather 'cute' chick-like chirp. A member of this species was shown to be good friends with an Iai-Aye and also served as a brave ally that was willing to help the Four Heavenly Kings in their training.

Powers and Abilities[]

Being a primate of the "Monkey Restaurant", this species is skilled in the monkey martial art of Enbu, a special style of combat only known to the primates of Area 7 and one Chickong's skill in this martial art is so great that it is ranked as a Rank 4-Dan Enbu practitioner. Like many of the primates in Area 7, this species is incredibly tough and can survive deadly attacks and regenerate lost tissue, and when receiving damage their strength can temporarily go up. Having a capture level of 970, the Chickong is a very powerful creature. True to its great size, the Chickong is endowed with incredible strength, enough to even surprise a powerful warrior such as Coco.

History[]

PAIR Arc[]

A Chickong was one of the many monkeys that were allies of the Iai-Aye that had been accompanying the Four Heavenly Kings and was willing to help in their training to master Enbu. The Chickong was paired off against Coco who appeared to be struggling against the mighty ape chick.

After PAIR was finally acquired by the Heavenly Kings, many of their monkey allies, including the Chickong appeared on 100G Mountain to congratulate them. The Kings and the monkeys then descended back down the mountain on Bambina's Flying Nimbutt and headed for the Birth Cry Tree, where they were happily greeted by a gigantic gathering of now happy and free monkeys.
