The Chief of Teran Plains is an elderly man who cares deeply for the people in his village and only wants what's best for them.
History[]
Prior to the events in the film, Teran Plains was destroyed by the bird beast Gerold. In order to end the Gerold's rampage, the elder and the village allowed Peck to seek help from Toriko, knowing Peck would be able to outrun most of the beasts that he would encounter. To their amazement, Peck came back with not just Toriko, but with plenty of food for the starving villagers who were left with no food because of the Gerold. The elder and the village then celebrated Peck's return and Toriko's arrival. However, the happiness was cut short when Gerold suddenly appeared. Luckily, Toriko successfully vanquished the vicious bird, and the village cheered. However, Toriko revealed that the Gerold's reason for attacking their village was that it was chased out of its habitat by the Mammoth Bear. The elder then revealed that 15 years ago the Mammoth Bear had indeed once terrorized their land and ate away all the food there was, and that he and the village swore to never speak of it again as to not pass down their fear and sadness to the children. Toriko, however, ensures him and the village that he'll slay the Mammoth Bear and restore harmony to the village. True to his word, Toriko succeeded and brought back the Mammoth Bear's meat for all to enjoy, and the elder cried tears of joy as he enjoyed the great feast and Toriko's victory over the horror that once terrorized the village so long ago.
