Game Toriko: Gourmet Survival 2
[v · t · e]

The Earth Bear is a colossal, elemental, behemoth beast and the sleeping ruler of the Gattsuki Continent. With a Capture Level of 99 it has the highest known capture level of any beast in the Human World. It was designed by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro himself for the game, Toriko: Gourmet Survival 2. The beast is only unlocked to fight against when the player reaches level 99 in the game.[1]

It is a gigantic behemoth of monstrous stature, almost the size of the massive Regal Mammoth. Its elemental attributes make it look like a living landmass, with snow and glaciers on its back, grass covered head, shoulders and arms, a rocky torso, rivers flowing down its arms and flaming magma rock legs, it is truly a beast of almost mythical proportions. Its upper body is large and muscular with very long arms and sharp metal claws that can cut through stone.

Powers and AbilitiesEdit

The Earth Bear unleashing a barrage of magma rocks.

Due to its colossal size and its terrain-like hide, it is a creature of tremendous power and endurance, and it is quite possibly the strongest beast in the Human World, as it took the power of all the Four Heavenly Kings to defeat it. It can spit out flaming balls of hot, rocky, magma as if they were meteors. Its great size naturally endows it with monstrous strength and with its large metallic claws it can cut through solid rock, and if it swipes its claws fast enough it can create wind sickles. With its sharp fangs it can also bite through solid rock with ease.

Toriko: Gourmet Survival 2Edit

The Earth Bear facing off against the Heavenly Kings.

The Earth Bear is the sleeping ruler of the Gattsuki Continent and resides deep within the giant mountain at the center of the continent, Kitchen Hall. Once the Four Heavenly Kings grow strong enough (to level 100) they can finally challenge the Earth Bear and collect its meat. The battle proves somewhat difficult due to its titanic size, unique abilities and monstrous strength, but with their combined efforts the Heavenly Kings are able to defeat it with a combined power attack, and are finally able to cook and taste its delicious meat. It can later be re-battled any time within Kitchen Hall, although if this is just done for the replay value or if there are genuinely more Earth Bears sleeping in Kitchen Hall is unknown.

  • While the Earth Bear has the highest known Capture Level of any creature in the Human World at level 99 (even higher than the Salamander Sphinx at 92) and was designed by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro himself, it is not known whether it exists within the continuity of the manga.
