Synopsis[]
The one they call Zebra is released from prison just in time for Monster Season and a showdown with the horrifying Forrest Goblin! After he eats lunch, of course!
Summary[]
The Human World was going crazy over Zebra’s release; Ingredient prices jumped 10 times, stocks sold, and 25 countries declared emergency. Tina interviewed economist Manei, who elaborated more on the yen loss reaching quadrillions, causing the annihilation of around 10 nations. On the contrary, a feast was being prepared by Komatsu at Honey Prison to celebrate the same issue. Komatsu wondered where Zebra could be at such time, asking Toriko, who replied that Zebra’s gone to bid the prisoners farewell in his own way as they were complaining about him.
Zebra started picking on Komatsu, but Toriko grabbed his head and told him off. He challenged Toriko to a fight, and despite Love’s efforts in intervening by pheromones, only Toriko responded, while Zebra didn’t feel a thing. As they settled on the table to eat, Love explained what Ichiryu had asked for; for Zebra to arrest 500 criminals and discover 100 new species if he were to be out. They totally ignored her and kept on eating, and later, Zebra asked Komatsu if he was really the one who cooked it all, recalling what he heard all the way while in prison; Komatu inquiring about the food Zebra likes, and his time in the kitchen preparing it. Zebra then picks on Komatsu again, telling him not to get cocky, as he loathes cocky people. Suddenly, Ohban interrupts their talk with news that the Demon of the Forest (Magma Tortoise) has appeared. Love explained to Komatsu the area’s Death Season Forest, where the climate changes each season; Magma, Mist, Freeze, and Beast. The lvl-70 Tortoise appears in the Beast Season.
Zebra was convinced the Turtle was being cocky, and decided to go teach it a lesson. At that time, Komatsu was worried that Zebra would be in danger out all alone, but Toriko mentioned that the beasts are the ones in danger, and explained Zebra’s powers and real crime; Destructive sound and voice manipulation, superior to any of the Four Heavenly Kings. If a prey annoys or interests him, he causes its extinction, like he did to 26 species. Amidst their talk, Zebra had already charged and released his attack, which killed all beasts, except the Tortoise. Zebra was happy someone withstood his attack, and threw his Voice Missile at it, causing a gigantic blast and killing it. He agrees to go with Toriko for the Mellow Cola as he’s in need to wet his throat. Later, Toriko, Zebra, and Komatsu ride the Lift House through the desert, in order to reach Sand Garden. Zebra suddenly felt hungry and asked Komatsu for some food, and while Komatsu thought of how evil Zebra is, Zebra decided to pick a fight with Toriko.
