Synopsis[]
Zebra and Toriko must eat everything in their path in order to regain the strength needed for their daring rescue mission! Meanwhile, Komatsu struggles to survive on his own!
Summary[]
The footprint resembled Vegetable Sky’s beast’s. While he was standing in surprise, something approached Komatsu from behind. Meanwhile, Toriko and Zebra had just finished eating the Unicorn Cerberus, but it didn’t have that much of a nutritional value for them. Toriko explained: He can store 3 million Kcal, while Zebra can store 4.5. Zebra used hand gestures to speak with Toriko, something he used to do back in the old days. Toriko followed Zebra’s instructions, because Zebra already had the maze figured before he closed his Map.
It turned out the Escarjaw was the one approaching Komatsu. As soon as it attacked, the Sound Armor Zebra cladded Komatsu in activated, and Zebra’s voice message embedded within played, asking Komatsu to think of everything as an ingredient. Hearing that, Komatsu used his Melk Knife to scare the beast away. Yet, he’d unleashed his attack already, destroying the ground underneath. This caused groundwater leakage inside the pyramid. He found split paths all around, and ended up encountering a Monoclops. After running from it, he found a room with coffins, reminding him of the old woman’s words about a resting king. Thinking of mummies scared him out of the room into a hallway with painting of beasts, and a book at the hallway’s end. During that time, a creature opened a coffin back in the room, and as Komatsu went to read the book, that creature popped right behind him. At the same time, Toriko and Zebra were almost done eating the Dangoals whom they’d found across the way.
The creature attacked Komatsu, but the Sound Armor activated again. This led the beast to attack more, weakening the armor. Komatsu decided to run, and suddenly, the Monopclops appeared, and the GT-Robo-like creature attacked it instead. Komatsu used this opportunity and escaped with the book. The 2 beasts’ fight echoed to Zebra, who hastened Toriko with the Tiger Fang’s meat to hurry ahead. Toriko and Zebra continued, gaining calories across the way with the various beast encounters, all of which seemed to need a certain defeating condition met for their meat to gain nutritional value. Finally, after regaining their Kcal, Zebra’s voice came back, and released his Map again. When he used it, he located Komatsu running towards a hallway split, and warned him not to continue. It was too late, as Komatsu already went ahead, only to find the Salamander Sphinx in wait.

Trivia[]
- The song Nakamatachi! by Akira Kushida was used as an insert song here, but in an instrumental version.
- The episode used the insert song, 1 Gram Dake no Miracle , by Tina's voice actor, from Character Collection 2, but in an instrumental version in the Tina Pan section. (This makes it the first episode to include two insert songs). It played twice in the Tina Pan section.
