Furnips are very furry relatives of monkeys with six arms that live primarily in caves that are usually a rich source of whetstones.
Anatomy[]
Their entire body, except for their hands and eyes is completely covered in shaggy fur, making their true appearance mostly unknown. They are capable of walking on their back legs.
Behavior[]
They prefer to live in dark caves rich in minerals and may also inhabit mountainous regions. They tend to travel and hunt together in groups, showing them to be a very social species. With the right training, these creatures can be domesticated.
Powers and Abilities[]
While not too strong by themselves, they rely on their sheer numbers to take down foes, preferring to outnumber their prey then go one on one, thus making them quite dangerous for the unprepared loner. They are also agile climbers.
Uses[]
According to Toriko, their taste is horrible making them inedible. They aren't particularly good-natured, but with time and affection, it is not completely out of the question to domesticate them. There are even "Furnip Hunters" who tame Furnips for the purpose of sending them to high places where fruits grow.

Toriko and Komatsu encountered these furry creatures along with some Rock Wolves while scaling the massive Melk Mountain.
