The Gourmet King Deciding Battle is a special competition for Gourmet Hunters established and sponsored by Gourmet Billionaire Fond De Bohno. The main goal of the competition is to find an ingredient that Bohno's Seven-Color Nessie, Chris will like and the first bishokuya to bring an ingredient that Chris will eat will win the title of Gourmet King and the grand prize of 1 billion yen.
Bohno's reason for creating this competition was to find food that Chris could eat as the creature had refused to eat anything Bohno offered, as such he hoped that a skilled bishokuya could procure an ingredient that would satisfy Chris.
