The Hammer-Tusk (ハンマータスク Hanmātasuku) is an extremely large and vicious-looking animal of which very little is known about. Knocking Master Jiro once fought a Hammer-Tusk long ago and sealed it away using Knocking (similar to the Hellboros); however, it was later revived, presumably by Mohyan Shaishai.
Anatomy[]

Side view of the Hammer-Tusk's face.
It is a gigantic beast with a large and long muscular body with leathery skin and a skinless back that appears to be a hardened shell with horizontal lines going down it. Its face looks quite intimidating, with rough features, long slanted dark eyes, pointy ears, a flattened nose with small nostrils, and a set of razor sharp teeth. It has a pair of small wings, two sharp horns, and large black claws on each of its toes. As its name implies, this animal has a large rock-like hammer inserted on the tip of its long tail and an enormous pair of tusks jutting out from the sides of its massive lower jaw.
Behavior[]
Much of its behavior is unknown, but Jiro having to "seal" one away using Knocking may imply that members of this species can be vicious brutes.
Powers and Abilities[]
Jiro states that a creature like the Hammer-Tusk could have only been revived by Mohyan Shaishai, indicating that it is a biologically complex creature similar to the Four Beast which is also only capable of being revived by someone like Mohyan. However its strength is nowhere near as strong as the Four Beast, having only a capture level of 165.
As Food[]
The meat of this beast is edible and 100 grams of its meat can fetch a price of 50,000 yen on the wholesale market.
History[]
Cooking Festival Arc[]
After Jiro was made aware by the Four Heavenly Kings' animal partners that the Hammer-Tusk he defeated long ago had been revived, he immediately went after it and managed to tame it. Jiro, riding the tamed Hammer-Tusk, then made his way to Cooking Island to help in the Bishokukai vs IGO battle along with the Four Heavenly Kings' animal partners.
Difference between Manga and Anime[]
- The Hammer-Tusk was omitted in the anime.
Trivia[]
- The Hammer-Tusk is the work of penname Puupu-san from Ishikawa Prefecture.
