Harisenka (ハリセンカ) are a species of very colorful blowfish whose meat taste like delicious thick and flavored Potato Snacks. Harisenkas usually lurk in the deep sea and never show themselves on the surface unless pursued.
History[]
Toriko's Break Arc[]
After Toriko, Komatsu and Rin set out to sea on Tom's ship to locate Safla, the lost sister of Toriko's friend Cumin, they saw a school of Harisenkas heading their way which surprised Toriko since they rarely appear on the surface, however Rin was more eager at tasting the potato snack-flavored blowfish. They then noticed the cause of the Harisenkas appearance on the surface which was actually Safla, the missing girl, who had been pursuing the Harisenkas as part of her ingredient gathering for her brother's Gatsukatsu Curry. She later successfully captured the Harisenka and boarded the ship with her catch.

- The Harisenka was created by PN Macchan (まっちゃん) age 15 from Kanagawa for the anime's second Gourmet Monsters Contest.
