The Bureau of Defense Management's 18th Barrier.

The IGO Bureau of Defense Management or simply the IGO Defense Bureau, is one of the IGO's many institutions and is responsible for overseeing the safety of the Human World against threats from the Gourmet World. The bureau is overseen by the "IGO Defense Director", Ray. The bureau has large barriers stationed all around the Human World's boundaries in order to survey, warn and stop oncoming dangers from Gourmet World, such as beasts or other dangerous biological invasions. The barriers also guard the three "Land Routes" into the Gourmet World, and the staff responsible for overseeing the barriers regulate those who may pass in order to ensure that no one gets too close to the Gourmet World or its Land Routes, however Gourmet Hunters are allowed free passage past the barriers due to their profession requiring them to go to dangerous territory. Even if the hunter in question is weak, he may still be allowed passage.

The bureau also handles the capture and subjugation of dangerous beasts and other threats from outside the barriers with the aid of special individuals and other unknown methods.
