Kelp Snakes (コンブスネーク) are a strange breed of aquatic snakes that share many traits with kelp and even "plant" themselves deep below water. They are only known to reside in Pot Pond. Its body is almost exactly like gooey kelp and even tastes like it and it even gives the water it inhabits a rich flavor thanks to its soup-like excretions. The reason for this is the heat coming from the surface of the water which helps to ensure that Kelp Snakes produce the finest kelp soup stock. The "soup" emanating from this beast and the Kelp Snake are the main cause for Pot Pond becoming a natural soup stock. Because of its popular culinary use, Kelp Snake Ramen has become a specialty in Pot Pond's town.
