Mangronves (饅具龍舞, Manguronbu, literally meaning "Bun Tool Dragon Dance") are large mangrove-like plant beasts that appeared exclusively in the second Toriko x One Piece Collaboration Special. They reside high atop Tou-Chinese Island in a private reservoir and they used to be bred by the natives of the island for their fruit.
Powers and Abilities[]
Mangronves posses incredible regenerative abilities and an amazing growth rate. If two heads are cut off it can attach the two necks together to grow a new head. If it is cut down, it will regrow new sprouts on the base of the stump instantaneously. It has a strong wooden body and can take quite a few hits. It can use its roots like a whip to lash out at enemies viciously and capture prey in tight constraints. It can also spit highly pressurized seawater at its opponents which makes them especially dangerous to Devil Fruit users. They can only survive in salt water environments.
As Food[]
Mangronves are known for being able to grow high-quality Chinese fruit and the legendary Seafood Fruit.
History[]
Toriko x One Piece Collaboration Special 2[]
Upon Toriko, Luffy and the gang's arrival on Tou-Chinese Island, they set out to find the fabled Seafood Fruit said to grow there which could cure Chopper of his illness. They found clues suggesting that the trees that grow the fruit live high on the island and when they arrived they found a large salt water reservoir filled with many mangrove trees filled to the brim with Seafood Fruit. However as it turned out the mangrove trees were alive and were actually the dreaded plant beast Mangronve, it then proceeded to attack the group. It almost came out victorious, luckily it was defeated by a powerful combo between Toriko and Luffy.
