Mari (マリ, Mari) is a 7-Shell Cook from Blue Grill.

Appearance

Mari is a Food Spirit, but his current form and what he looked like while he was alive are unknown.

Mari's Host

His host is a four-armed humanoid, like many of the inhabitants of Blue Grill, with black hair, pointy ears and light skin. He wears a simple light-colored chef's outfit with shell-shaped shoulder guards and a small cooking cap.

Like his fellow Cooks, he wears a stylized mask to block out light, which Food Spirits find harsh; Mari's appears to be based on a generic specter.

Powers and Abilities

Being a chef with the rank of 7-Shells, Mari is likely a very skilled chef, but still nowhere near as good as the Five 10-Shell Cooks. Being a Food Spirit himself, Mari cannot normally be seen or interacted with by the living and vice versa. He is also capable of possessing the bodies of weaker beings and making them his own.

History

ANOTHER Arc

Mari was the first chef to greet the elite chefs from the Human World upon their arrival in Blue Grill and upon hearing their desire to enter the Back Channel, he informed them that he could set up a match for them against the Five 10-Shell Cooks (who had become interested in the human chefs) in Grill Stadium to see if they were truly as skilled as they claimed and if they could survive in the Back Channel.
