The Obsaurus (オブサウルス Obusaurusu) is a highly loyal creature. It will give a ride to anything that is stronger than it, and will carry out its orders and protect its master until something stronger arrives.
Appearance[]
It is a large, reptilian-looking mammal with green leathery skin, sharp fangs, four horns, two heads connected at the skull and two blue eyes belonging to each face. It has a peculiar maw with a single large forked tongue which is shared by both its mouths.
Behavior[]
Obsauruses are extremely loyal creatures to those who can best them in strength and will follow their orders without question even if doing so will kill them. Obsauruses are also quite intelligent, capable of understanding their master's orders even without the need to communicate and will even know when their master is in danger. However their loyalty is quite shifty as they will instantly abandon their former master as soon as a more powerful one comes along. Despite it appearing to have two heads (in the anime at least), it actually appears to only have one mind and each head does not think individually. An Obsaurus usually begins its intense relationship with a master by being beaten up, which leads to speculation that Obsauruses are masochists, but little is known about the behavior of this creature in the wild.
Powers and Abilities[]
These creatures have a considerable amount of power as it was seen crashing the poles of Devil Athletics easily. They also have quite a load of stamina, capable of traveling long distances and have even been sold on the black market as potential beasts of burden. Ob the Obsaurus has displayed the ability to form bonds with its owner that allows it to sense future threats towards its master.
History[]
Regal Mammoth Arc[]
There is one living in 1st Biotope where it is defeated and tamed by many owners: Cedre, Toriko, Starjun, and finally Terry Cloth. Each time it battles them at the behest of its previous owner but is defeated each time until becoming permanently loyal to Terry. It's currently living at Toriko's Sweets House.
Billion Bird Arc[]
When the Four Heavenly Kings are searching for the final ingredient in Ichiryu's Full Course Menu at the 1st Biotope, Toriko uses his heightened sense of smell to trace all the beings that were ever present within the 1st Biotope, in order to find Ichiryu's old scent and follow it to the ingredient's location. Among the countless scents he picks up, he detects the scent of an Obsaurus (although it is unknown if this is Ob or another Obsaurus), although the scent appeared to be quite old. It is unknown if the Obsaurus species survived the onslaught of the Meteor Spice that destroyed most of the Human World's resources.

Anime and Manga Differences[]
- In the manga the Obsaurus is a single headed creature with two maws but in the anime it is a two headed creature with a single throat and tongue.
