The Pseudo-Rubanda is a ferocious looking species at first glance, but it's actually quite a docile bird unlike its cousin, the Mysterious Bird Rubanda.

They look exactly like their vicious Rubanda cousins, but they can be distinguished by their lighter colored feathers and claws, which only have four digits with tiny talons on each claw and pink-colored skin when compared to the large eight digit yellow claws with thick black-nailed talons of its relative.

Some can be found high-up on the Sky Plant often soaring the surroundings with others of their kind and raising their chicks. They appear to be peaceful and curious creatures that will approach those who mean them no harm and as long as nothing attacks them, they won't attack in return; so if travelers ever run into a Rubanda Look-Alike, its best to just walk on by.[1]

Powers and AbilitiesEdit

They rely on their frightening appearance to deter predators. Other than that they do not appear to posses the abilities of the original Rubanda.[1]

Ozone Herb ArcEdit

When Toriko and Komatsu were climbing up the Sky Plant to reach Vegetable Sky, they ran into a large flock of these Rubandas which naturally frightened Komatsu. However Toriko quickly realized that they were actually the harmless Pseudo-Rubanda and they would do them no harm so long as they let them be. In the anime, a parent and child Rubanda curiously got up close to Komatsu much to his distress.[2]

Anime and Manga DifferencesEdit

In the anime, the Pseudo-Rubanda's talons are exactly the same as a regular Rubanda's talons, reducing the physical difference between the two species. This appears to be an recolored version. In the manga its children were not seen yet the anime features a scene of a parent tending to its young.
