Puzzle Planktons (パズル・プランクトン Pazuru Purankuton) are microscopic puzzled-shaped organisms with an indefinite number of flavors.
Description[]
Puzzle Planktons, as their name indicates, are small organisms shaped like puzzle pieces with a 0.1 millimeter diameter. By connecting them together like a puzzle, their taste can be altered indefinitely depending on the way they are assembled, making them an excellent ingredient capable of bringing out the truest flavor of a meal if assembled in the right order. However there are hundreds of trillions of them in each swarm and one needs considerable cooking skills to complete their microscopic puzzle in a way that would bring out such a level of taste. Legendary chefs such as the Flavor Sages are fully capable of preparing such a complex ingredient.

When the Four Heavenly Kings and their support group meet up with Jiji in Area 6, Jiji prepares for them a meal made using Puzzle Plankton. The quality of the meal and the proper preparation of the plankton is enough to convince Starjun that Jiji really is one of the Flavor Sages.
