Rain of Food

The Rain of Food (食材しょくざいの雨あめ, Shokuzai no Ame), also called Rain of Blessings (恵みの雨, Megumi no Ame), is an event that occurred when Toriko and Komatsu returned from the Gourmet World and temporarily alleviated the famine caused by the Meteor Spice.

Due to the famine of a year and a half caused by the Meteor Spice that Midora had unleashed into the Human World, and after rescuing Komatsu from the Gourmet Corp., Toriko took it upon himself to gather many rare ingredients in the Gourmet World to ease the suffering.

Upon returning, the young bishokuya carried a gigantic, city-sized rice bowl filled with every ingredient he gathered. He then slammed the underside of the filled-to-the-brim bowl and launched the ingredients all over the Human World to reduce the suffering of the people.
