Rapp (ラップ, Rappu) is a young and powerful Gourmet Hunter and one of the members of the top secret 0th Biotope in the Gourmet World.

Appearance

Rapp is a tall man, slightly shorter than Zebra, who dresses in a manner similar to tokusatsu heroes. He wears a red tracksuit with sky blue accents, as well as a helmet and sunglasses. In the manga the color of his tracksuit is mostly navy blue with yellow accents.

Personality

Rapp does not seem fond of unnecessary fights, as, despite being described as stronger than Zebra, he did not wish to fight him; acknowledging that he would not leave the fight unscathed. He also seems to distrust new people that recently join a group as he accused Ryu of revealing the secrets of CENTER to the Gourmet Corp..

Powers and Abilities

Given that he is a member of the 0th Biotope, he is strong enough to have overcome the environment of the Gourmet World, and is capable of handling the powerful beasts that live there.

According to Mansam, he is stronger than Zebra, but he himself admits that a fight with Zebra would not leave him unharmed.

History

Mellow Cola Arc

After Toriko, Zebra, and Komatsu's return to Hotel Gourmet from the Gourmet Pyramid to enjoy their recently acquired Mellow Cola, they received a visit from Mansam, who was accompanied by the IGO's Defense Chief Ray and the 0th Biotope's member Rapp. Their sudden arrival was due that they had learned of the Nitro the group had discovered and killed at the pyramid and needed to take its body back to the 0th Biotope for study. The group quickly complied and Mansam gave detailed info on the creature's identity, however Zebra was preoccupied with his desire to fight Rapp, who was not too eager to get into a brawl with one of the Four Heavenly Kings. They soon went on their way leaving the group behind with a greater desire of wanting to enter the Gourmet World.

Bubble Fruit Arc

He and the other 0th Biotope members are called to a meeting by Ichiryu. During the meeting, he tells Ichiryu that Ryu had just become a member of the 0th Biotope recently and may be the one responsible for the Gourmet Corp. having the knowledge of Acacia hidden ingredient.

Cooking Festival Arc

Ryu, his two men and Rapp are seen standing in Sector E, the Continent of Beginnings, waiting for everyone else to return. Rapp states that no matter who makes it and who doesn't, their job is to survive until the others are back. Ryu spots Niceny and several Nitro and says, deadpanned, that the top of the Gourmet Corp. is not there. Making a pun on their names, Niceny spats back he was sure to meet Ichiryu, and is disappointed to find only Ryu. Later Rapp was show to be defeated possibly by a Blue Nitro.

Trivia

• His appearance is heavily inspired by tokusatsu heroes, for example a design reminiscent to that of Super Sentai protagonists (known as Power Rangers in America).
