The Ten-Feathered Giant Chicken (十羽大鶏 Juppa Dainiwatori) is a giant chicken-like bird beast mentioned by Komatsu. Judging from its name, it appears to only have ten feathers.
Behavior[]
The Ten-Feathered Giant Chicken is a creature that rarely lays eggs as it can only lay one egg once in its entire life and cannot lay anymore after doing so. Strangely, this single egg contains ten yolks, and stranger still, they'll only lay their egg during a blue moon.
As Food[]
While its meat is edible, it is the rare egg of the Ten-Feathered Giant Chicken which is held with most regard as it possesses a higher level of flavor and health value than ordinary eggs and its numerous yolks offer more quantity in a meal. Because of the rarity of its Ten Yolk Egg, the eggs are valued more than the meat of the chicken itself with just one egg having a value of 50,000 yen.

When Toriko and Komatsu got a chance to eat at the Setsuno Dining Hall, Setsuno prepared for them a Garlic Bird Oyakodon made with a Ten Yolk Egg which Komatsu instantly identified as coming from the Ten-Feathered Giant Chicken.
